showing off the undone

Journal Entry: Fri Apr 18, 2008, 10:09 PM
I don't normally post 'works in progress',
but as it's been nearly 6 weeks since I documented any work at all,
I felt compelled.
It's also a symbolic piece- stalled,
waiting on tile I kept meaning to order,
representative of far too much time spent on absurd miniscule details,
hopefully to be valued as exceptional some day.

Sure is gonna be purdy all said n done.

Despite lack of proof, I have been quite busy in the studio,
attempting to focus on FINISHING the multiple projects awaiting that last 10%.
I'm anxious to have more/better works for the soon to be website.
I've been blessed with the opportunity to work with the coolest lady on this, check out her many skills at [link].
Otherwise putting together a website is a nightmare.
Photos that could ever begin to do justice,
fonts that don't quite seem right,
backgrounds and graphics that best suit
and the text- geeze all that friggin text.
The bios, artist statements, descriptions, commission contracts-
eeek, daunting task.

Meanwhile "Beginning Knot Drawing" is in full swing at Whatcom Community College. Another collection of awesome folks having fun with the 'secrets of the scribes'.

Wow! you're stuff is AMAZING. I'm going to be working on a mosaic top to some piece of furniture (still have to find the piece of furniture) with a Japanese garden thing all because I found a pattern for a geisha that I like.

Thanks for the information about glues. I'll have to investigate that one. I've been using JB Weld for my metal, and and Tacky brands for paper mache and polymer over bakeable clay forms, but had no idea how to affix beads to glass. Hmm, you may have just evolved my bead work to new background mediums.

Wow! You do great stained glass! I like all the celtic knotwork pieces. They are so intricate! That takes a lot of patience I bet. I'm also happy to see somone else who has beaded amulet bags. It's nice to see others who share my obsession with beads! The mosaic tile work is very nicely done as well. I was very inspired by your gallery. Now I have to go bead a new bag! Hmm, dragons... LOL
